Hi, I'm Mike.

My path to web development wasn't a straight line, and that's exactly why I'm good at this job.

I started out as a GIS technician in Prague, turning messy geospatial data into maps people could actually use. That taught me precision — and how to explain technical things to non-technical people.

Then came six years of freelance web design and brand identity work, building custom websites and managing remote teams of designers and developers for small business clients.

The biggest lesson came next: ten years running a pub restaurant as managing director. Payroll, marketing, suppliers, customers, reviews — the whole thing. I built and ran its digital presence myself, and I learned what business owners actually need from a website: not awards, not animations for their own sake — customers.

Now I build websites full-time from Sheffield, combining modern engineering (the same technology used by the fastest sites on the web) with a decade of sitting on your side of the table.
